What to send in CW without risk of getting a respons?

    You don't say what rig you are using , but I have mine set with a CW macro that sends TEST TEST DE KQ4MM KQ4MM ... at 31WPM
    never had a answer and don't think I ever would outside of a CW contest perhaps

    Just send slow if some comes back jump in and wing it! If you are sending slow they should return slow. Roll with it, even if you mess it all up.

    Everyone in any contest might send that ! If someone answers Just send "UR 599 TN 73" :rolleyes:

    Whatever happened to the old rule of thumb to never send faster than you can copy?

    I get a lot of QRQ (sloppy fist) answers to my moderate speed CQs, Then after I QRQ to match his speed, and send my info ("UR RST...MY QTH...MY NAME...") they say "SRI QSB QRN QRM 73 OM".
    I think what actually is the problem is SEDING MUCH FASTER THAN COPY ABILITY !!!

    Lane,
    I am not 100 % sure how skimmers work but I don't think RBN stations would stop on that call !
