Yes, I typo'd the call sign here. I have it in my QRZ logbook as ZL1BYZ (not ZL1ZYB). Good catch!
I am thinking things are so crummy that it's a good day to do something crazy like call CQ with 100 milliwatts until I get an answer. The question will be, will it take 5 minutes or 5 hours? Or will I just give up after half an hour, lol? Guess I'll find out! 73
I like your style!
No luck so far, though!
Well sure, you silly! You're using an Isotron 160 meter antenna up 6 feet, with a 3:1 SWR, in the middle of the day!!
LOL, well, whatever I'm using, it isn't enough. Think I'll give up for today and go back to normal QRP levels!
It was a great exercise. Now you'll be thinking of 5 Watts as powerful.
Often, after running my HW-9 or KX1 I'll fire up the Century 21 with it's 25 watts of fury and feel like I'm running a kilowatt!!
That is definitely part of the thinking!
