My 24 bit 2 meter antenna sounds awesome!
So can I use a MD100 microphone with my FT7900? You guys really didn't answer the question about the voltage mismatch?
Portable is one thing; but in my shack all audio passes through a mixing board. I can use any one of ten of thousands of microphones with virtually any radio (provided I can wire it). Levels, equalization, and compression are only a few knob turns away.
I have an FT-991A and an FTM-400 that work quite well with both dynamic and condenser pro audio microphones--provided I set everything correctly. Wired directly into the the rig, the same microphone for FM, SSB, and AM is not going to work well on all of those anyway.
