What kind of knob do you prefer on your straight key?

    I personally prefer a flat knob because I tend to key with a knuckle rather than finger tips, and a flat knob is better suited to that style of sending.

    Oh...that was not really the question. I voted for a Navy knob.;)

    Lots of Navy knobs here, though I notice the pics include some flat knobs as well. Most are Navy knobs, having a raised or elevated center surrounded by a flat skirt.

    I liked the kob that was on my WW2 surplus J38 that I got in 1960. Still use it for some QRS QSOs.
    It's always hooked up along with my bug and paddles, ready to go.

    My two German Junkers have concaved knobs with raised edge rims. Finger puddle? :p
    Vy comfortable, ergonomic and easy to control, less slipping - more positive action.

    I am getting used to the baby pacifier on my Amplidan... close second is the knob on the 26003 flame proof.
