what kind of antenna is best for ARDF / Foxhunt?

    good morning my friends,
    please help amateur radio friends, in participating in the ARDF / foxhunt competition, the antenna is very supportive in getting the fox station. What kind of antenna is best to use? thanks for the help, YF8RQN-73

    I use a 5 element beam or a tape measure beam, both work.
    Search Make SNAP BANDS on youtube if you want them to roll up.

    It depends on the freq band used for the Fox hunt, higher VHF is not too hard to handle a small number of elements on a Yagi design. UHF even easier but six or ten meter Fox hunts take a different approach like a loaded loop and using a null instead of peak signals.
