    I don't know...lots of folks still like ham. My favorite ham is when it's topped with pineapple and cherries.

    For us who still enjoy ham radio, the hobby will remain only considerable less popular. I agree advances in communication have played havoc with the hobby, but for those who decided on amateur radio as an avocation and because of the usefulness it provided as a communication medium, I think, missed the boat. Ham radio to me (and others still interested) is and has been enjoyable if not even mysterious or better yet romantic because of the manner in which ham radio communications takes place in the short waves and not in the communications itself.

    Concerning radio, romanticism or mystery over the origin and reception of long range uninterrupted radio waves will remain in the hearts of a few yet to come. Long live ham radio!
