Think 4 times, cut once. And we are all aware washing machines natively communicate with our cellphones already. :D

I made an indoor 90° corner reflector antenna for the UHF TV channels in our area.

It works for only one channel, our CBS affiliate.

It's for the bathroom/soldering station. Tried hanging the antenna from various on the ceiling, but N.D. In frustration, I set it down in the bathtub, and voi·là!

I thought it was "measure twice, cuss once".

Not with me: It's cut twice, cuss twice; it's a linear progression.

I usually measure twice and cut 0.6931 times. I cut logs.

I had an Asus AC86u WiFi router (and several AC68u as nodes) configured to intercept NTP requests on my home LAN. NTP would fluctuate in accuracy, usually no more that 30 or 40 milliseconds a day. I installed the script ntpMerlin and configured it to use Chrony. Now, time variation generally bounces between 1 ms and 3 ms, a noteworthy improvement.

Then, last night, I used an old, shelved Raspberry Pi 1 and a U-Blox GPS to provide time to Chrony, and to the rest of our home network.

My wife walked in at one point and casually asked what I was doing. I replied that I was fixing our household clocks, so we can "finally" have some accurate timekeeping around here, instead of that crummy "0.001" second nonsense that is always making us late.
