What can JT65 do that PSK31 can't do? What can JT9 do that JT65 can't do?

If you have access to a radio that can receive WWV, you can set your laptop time to within a second, which is good enough.

I'll see if I can try to get on digital this week, using WWV to check my laptop clock. I really need to spend several hours making it harder for wasps to get in. Wasp stings hurt.

OK, I'm sold on programming JT9 into my U3S.

    I have JT9-1, JT9-2, JT9-5, JT9-10 and JT9-30 as options. Which one should I use?

    Same frequencies as JT65, correct?

I'm sure I'll still have more JT65 spots, but if I get an actual boost from JT9 in terms of efficiency, I should eventually start seeing more distant contacts w/JT9.

    Thanks.

I have never seen anything other than JT9-1 on the bands. The JT9 frequencies are 2 kHz above the JT65 frequencies.

I was looking at PSKReporter and there was a good reason why I wasn't getting my JT9-1 to work: There were only four (4) stations monitoring on any frequency in the western US ;)
