Hi, I am a Class A ( full) licence holder from the UK and we are full timers in out Tiffin Allegro Bus. My questions is...our RV and toad are both titled in Montana and we have Montana drivers licences ( I wish the driving test was as easy in the UK !) but out postal address is in Livingston Texas ( Escapee's mail service). I have had a dummy run at the on line exam questions and when we are parked up for a few weeks ( could be Quartsite in Jan. 2014) I will find a local club and arrange to take the Extra licence. What prefix should I use in front of my home call, G4SYV when operating under the CEPT licence here in the USA ? and in an RV do you use / mobile ? Thanks Richard. Glacier National Park.
WØ/, W5/ etc. It used to be that you placed the area behind your call. I don't know when it changed, but there it is.
With the local prefix in front of your home call, the DX spotting clusters can identify where you are operating from. That's one possible reason.
