Exactly. I hope you're charging for your time, Pat, unless you're running a charity...
Considering the company OWES me 11 WEEKS BACK PAY, which I doubt I will see a nickel of, it WOULD be nice to see a little Income I don't have to report to the IRS!
A HUNDRED AND TWENTY FIVE BUCKS an hour???? Here at the Radio Hospital, I make about $2.50 an hour, if even that!!!
Well I told you what my labor rates were.
I LONG for the day I can break the $20 an hour barrier!!! Most McDonalds Workers and HIGH SCHOOL DROPOUTS make more than me!! NEVER Mind that I am HIGHLY SKILLED!!! I am OLD, no one will hire me!
You wouldn't want to know what our service rates are here at "the shop."
Any out of warranty repair is $200/hour with a minimum billing of two hours.
Sounds high, but it's not a profit-maker.
That's not high for repair of high end date handling / storage equipment.
The flat rate repair for an IFR service monitor was 1K$
If I spent four or five hours fixing an old 1200S or a 1000S It was worth it to have take my time away from fixing two way radios....
And fix some test gear.
A company might charge that much/hr but an independent repair tech wouldn't see that much. As long as the expensive parts are good and there, I'd say it's worth looking into. And, good used parts are everywhere from folks like Lou @W1QJ.
If you scrap it let me know! Perfect candidate for a 6m conversion!
