It was incredible. I made a "highlight" reel of a video about it. It was booming though, the bone yard had more tables than vendors this year and I think there might have been 1/2 dozen unused tables in total. It was BUSY. The way you want a hamfest. There was a lot of Kenwood HF rigs this year for some reason. Last time it was Yeasu machines, but I noticed a lot of Kenwood machines this year. Here is a link to the video I made so you can see for yourself. David WK4DS 73
It was a great one. One of my best experiences, and I've been going for many years. It will be a while before we get the numbers from the Huntsville folks, but my guess is "bigger than ever." I noticed "All the Kenwoods," too. Thanks, as always to the organizers and volunteers!
Thanks for posting the video. One minor correction, the Flex radio being displayed is not an amplifier. It is a full fledged transceiver that has a 500 watt transmitter in it. It is not a traditional transceiver power amplifier with a driver and final transistors. James WD5GWY
Thank you for the clarification, the rep didn't really specify what it was other than it only drew about 600 watts from the wall to put 504 watts into the load, which really impressed me. I was just blown away by the fact that it was 100% duty cycle too. David
