This forum is dedicated to those who love CW, Morse Code, operating and building. This forum is not for debating the merits of CW. You either like it or you don't, and if not, then this isn't your forum! 73, AA7BQ (a 20 wpm Extra)
Well, interesting. Still trying to get my Morse speed up. The title of this topic concerned me a bit - I just have paddles. Seems to be a bit of anti-paddle feeling out there. I hope we have some good CW discussions regardless of how it is sent.
Hi, thanks AA7BQ for creating this forum! May I agree with W8JPF that "straight key" shouldn't be necessary in the title, and make it more general such as CW - Morse Forum or something? CW Operators Forum? The warning/description you have given, to forestall any debates between those for/against is good, as it should indeed be for those who love CW I look forward to reading posts here, 73 de Lou, VK5EEE
Too hot and humid to work in the yard today hooked up a homebrew 3 W QRP transmitter along with the Drake R4C into the 160 mtr. OCF at 60 ft. for a little CW on 40 mtrs. Object in foreground is 12 vdc relay for T/R switching just clip on the negative lead to the coil to transmit.....some fun EH?
Hi and thanks for creating this forum for my favorite mode! Have a look into my simple shack: 73, thomas
Agree,... maybe a title such as: "Hand sent Morse". The term "Straight Key" would seem to narrow-down the number of participants in this Forum to those that utilize a "SINGLE CONTACT KEY". "HAND SENT MORSE" would include: Straight Key, Bug, Keyer or even a "LOOSE TOGGLE-SWITCH" !!! For some of us OF's,... "Computer generated / Key-board Morse" ... doesn't qualify as "HAND SENT " JMHO Keep up the GREAT work with the NEW FORUMS (format) Fred !!!
