Back in November the Met Office that pushes AGW/CC Global Warming hypothesis also claimed this winter would be mild.
But Piers Corbyn — astrophysicist and Meteorologist predicted:
"The Winter of Dec to Feb 2010/11 - in UK and EU will be exceptionally Cold and Snowy, like Hell Frozen over at times"

NASA's 'GLORY' Climate Sciences satellite crashes to Earth — 3 ham birds also lost.

The failure is the second major loss for NASA's Earth-observation programme in as many years. In February 2009, NASA lost its Orbiting Carbon Observatory (OCO) — intended to track atmospheric carbon dioxide levels — in a strikingly similar incident.

    'Confidence blown'
Glory was designed to give a global picture of the effects of airborne particles on climate, by collecting data on clouds and on the distribution and chemistry of particulate matter in the atmosphere. Without the mission, scientists will struggle to separate the various effects of dust, sulphates, black carbon and other particulates on climate change.

It seems to me that without such scientific data that may be needed to help resolve the actual solar charging/forcing effects of the solar wind and cosmic rays on cloud seeding and formation it may be difficult to in sufficient time and haste for scientists of the 'heretic' persuasion to come up with the information needed to satisfactorily counter the arguments that have been used so far to accredit much of the blame for so-called 'Global-Warming' phenomenon to human origins. Human blame for this warming, now largely discredited by climate deniers and scientists across the planet, is known as AGW/CC or Anthropogenic Global Warming/Climate Change to which every single ill of mankind and the earth can be attributed.

Overpaid desk-jockeys at my local carbon center even blame AGW/CC for influenza outbreaks.

See this 2008 document from Europe's CERN project which describes proposals and methods for in-depth research into the cosmic/solar effects on cloud formation, in the outlines for the 'CLOUD' programme:

Tornadoes whipped up by wind, not climate:

'AFP - US meteorologists warned Thursday it would be a mistake to blame climate change for a seeming increase in tornadoes in the wake of deadly storms that have ripped through the US south.

"If you look at the past 60 years of data, the number of tornadoes is increasing significantly, but it's agreed upon by the tornado community that it's not a real increase," said Grady Dixon, assistant professor of meteorology and climatology at Mississippi State University

'But he said it would be "a terrible mistake" to relate the up-tick to climate change.'

New NASA Data Blow Gaping Hole In Global Warming Alarmism -

New NASA Data Blow Gaping Hole In Global Warming Alarmism
    http://news.yahoo.com/nasa-data-blow-gaping-hold-global-warming-alarmism-192334971.html
By James Taylor | Forbes – 20 hrs ago

NASA satellite data from the years 2000 through 2011 show the Earth's atmosphere is allowing far more heat to be released into space than alarmist computer models have predicted, reports a new study in the peer-reviewed science journal Remote Sensing. The study indicates far less future global warming will occur than United Nations computer models have predicted, and supports prior studies indicating increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide trap far less heat than alarmists have claimed.

Study co-author Dr. Roy Spencer, a principal research scientist at the University of Alabama in Huntsville and U.S. Science Team Leader for the Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer flying on NASA's Aqua satellite, reports that real-world data from NASA's Terra satellite contradict multiple assumptions fed into alarmist computer models.

"The satellite observations suggest there is much more energy lost to space during and after warming than the climate models show," Spencer said in a July 26 University of Alabama press release. "There is a huge discrepancy between the data and the forecasts that is especially big over the oceans."

In addition to finding that far less heat is being trapped than alarmist computer models have predicted, the NASA satellite data show the atmosphere begins shedding heat into space long before United Nations computer models predicted.

The new findings are extremely important and should dramatically alter the global warming debate.

Scientists on all sides of the global warming debate are in general agreement about how much heat is being directly trapped by human emissions of carbon dioxide (the answer is "not much"). However, the single most important issue in the global warming debate is whether carbon dioxide emissions will indirectly trap far more heat by causing large increases in atmospheric humidity and cirrus clouds. Alarmist computer models assume human carbon dioxide emissions indirectly cause substantial increases in atmospheric humidity and cirrus clouds (each of which are very effective at trapping heat), but real-world data have long shown that carbon dioxide emissions are not causing as much atmospheric humidity and cirrus clouds as the alarmist computer models have predicted.

The new NASA Terra satellite data are consistent with long-term NOAA and NASA data indicating atmospheric humidity and cirrus clouds are not increasing in the manner predicted by alarmist computer models. The Terra satellite data also support data collected by NASA's ERBS satellite showing far more longwave radiation (and thus, heat) escaped into space between 1985 and 1999 than alarmist computer models had predicted. Together, the NASA ERBS and Terra satellite data show that for 25 years and counting, carbon dioxide emissions have directly and indirectly trapped far less heat than alarmist computer models have predicted.

In short, the central premise of alarmist global warming theory is that carbon dioxide emissions should be directly and indirectly trapping a certain amount of heat in the earth's atmosphere and preventing it from escaping into space. Real-world measurements, however, show far less heat is being trapped in the earth's atmosphere than the alarmist computer models predict, and far more heat is escaping into space than the alarmist computer models predict.

When objective NASA satellite data, reported in a peer-reviewed scientific journal, show a "huge discrepancy" between alarmist climate models and real-world facts, climate scientists, the media and our elected officials would be wise to take notice. Whether or not they do so will tell us a great deal about how honest the purveyors of global warming alarmism truly are.

One thing I do find strange.
That in peer reviewed literature scientists refer to scientists as "alarmists". That is sort of strange. never seen that terminology in any of the peer reviewed journals.

Could it be that "Forbes" (a corporate publication with a vested interest in denying any climate change) is adding a "bit" of its own slant to the whole thing ? Odd, the writer is from the "Heartland Institute" an known right wing, libertarian, free market think tank known for its misrepresentations and distortions. Awww. nah IT JUST COULDN'T BE...Just a little bit of bias ??? well...maybe.... Hmmmmm. :(

I also find it interesting that the actual scientific paper doesn't mention the word "alarmist" even once. I highly doubt the Heartland writer has even the slightest comprehension of the rather simple differential equation posted at the beginning of the article. Nor the fact that the scientific abstract deals entirely with discrepancies in the measure of radiative forcing and has nothing to do with what the "Heritage writer is implying not the original OP is suggesting with regards to carbon stored versus carbon released. What this is is merely is a case of businessmen who don;t understand differential equations and/or science misinterpreting differential equations and science.

    Sorry, no cigar.

British Scientists to Create "Artificial Volcano" In Bid to Geoengineer Climate.

    BY Paul Joseph Watson.

Scheme designed to lead to massive sulfur injection program in name of preventing global warming

Despite the pseudo-science of global warming being discredited with each passing day, scientists are preparing to field test an "artificial volcano" which is eventually intended to lead to mammoth geoengineering programs which will inject sulfur particles in to the atmosphere at high altitudes, a process that other scientists have warned will cause widespread droughts and other drastic consequences.

    artificial-volcano_uk_experiment.jpg

"Next month, researchers in the U.K. will start to pump water nearly a kilometer up into the atmosphere, by way of a suspended hose," reports Scientific American.

*comment: (Can you imagine it Reader; as if we needed more water-vapor in the British wx system? Ridiculous! We have a reputation for a Summer during which it rains most of the time, as it is).

"The experiment is the first major test of a piping system that could one day spew sulfate particles into the stratosphere at an altitude of 20 kilometers, supported by a stadium-size hydrogen balloon. The goal is geoengineering, or the "deliberate, large-scale manipulation of the planetary environment" in the words of the Royal Society of London, which provides scientific advice to policymakers. In this case, researchers are attempting to re-create the effects of volcanic eruptions to artificially cool Earth."
