Dennis Malone - WB1EHD (Amateur Extra Class) became a Silent Key on Friday, October 24th 2008. http://www.qrz.com/callsign/WB1EHD

Dennis was my brother, a long time Ham and one of my Elmers. I'm going to miss you bro, and so won't any number of us here in New England, as well as the many Hams you made contact with and kept in touch with all over the world...

    73 and RIP

    1992

I known Dennis since 1992. Dennis was a big part of keeping the "145.130" gang together and always at peace. It is now a noticable difference. Dennis loved the 145.130 repeater. When I took it down, I know he was sad, but understood why due to the location and too many problems. I am glad I relocated it and he passed with it "on the air". Dennis was a founder of our ham radio testing team. So many stories to be told. I have a lot of pictures on: http://www.kd1xp.org (photo section). He was a railfan such as I am and helped out with everything that he could.

    Very Close Friend

Dennis was like a brother to me also. He helped take me from the rank of CB Mooball, to General Class Amateur Radio Operator and a VE. Now I am almost ready to take the Extra. Since Dennis' passing I have wanted my Extra even more than ever. I know I would make him proud to get it.
A final 73 to you Dennis. If you find a way to get on a radio up there, give me a shout on 48 simplex will ya!! R.I.P
WB1EHD,we all miss you already man!

I wish to extend my sympathy to the family and friends of Dennis-WB1EHD. Its always sad to hear about a silent key., and the loss of a dedicated spotter makes it even harder.
