Last time I opened port 80 and 443 to a server on my LAN, it got scanned by 12 different countries within 6 hours. This was a couple years ago. It would probably get hit faster today. I've been tempted to start paying for a reagan.com email address. You can set it up for POP or IMAP. A few years (decades) ago, I enjoyed the ability to SMTP an "UNKNOWN USER AT HOST" email back at spammers. But since ISPs have been blocking port 25 to prevent people from starting up their own email servers at their homes since about the mid 90's, I can't do that any more.
