    Clarence “MAC” McDaniel


    Born January 2, 1921 in Chicago, IL, passed away at his home, August 12, 2001. He served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army, was owner/operator of Clover Record Bar in Tacoma. Clarence worked as a truck driver at McChord AFB, a news reporter for KIXI Radio, was a bailiff for Seattle Municipal Courts and an avid Amateur Radio Ham Operator (W7FAB), making several long and lasting friendships. He leaves his wife Flo McDaniel; children Marcia McDaniel and Steven McDaniel of Tacoma, Michael McDaniel of Bowie, MD, and Clarence McDaniel, Jr. of Seattle; stepson Salomon Zamora of Auburn; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Visitation is 3:00-7:00 PM Thursday, August 16, with funeral service 10:00 AM Friday, August 17, both at Yahn & Son Funeral Home in Auburn."
