Terrence R. Redding became a silent key today. He was fighting a battle with cancer. He was a great father, an educator, a husband, and just an overall good man. Terry had a heart of gold and he was loved by many. It’s sad to see him go and he will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him. Life is way too short. Rest in peace my good friend. I will miss you but we will meet again. Once I get his obituary I will post it if the family gives me permission to. May you live happy and healthy for eternity.
One of my lifelong family friends. Such a great man. Terry and Barbara were very close with my parents as kids. He is almost singularly responsible for me getting active on HF. One rainy Sunday in about 2016 when I was down visiting, I remarked that I didn't have any antennas up for HF and he took me out to his workshop, and we built a fan dipole together that I still use today. I've since adopted his practice of keeping a box full of baluns at the ready to hand out with some wire to those "in need". Godspeed, Dr. Redding.
