Its been almost a year since my elmer W1KK has passed away. He was 98 !!

Art was a great guy and I learned so much from him.
He cared about everyone and love so many people.

His passion for amateur radio was never ending and
he went out of his way to help so many obtain the knowledge to enjoy the hobby.

He worked with me consistently to get my CW speed up to pass my 13 wpm. I passed then onto my 20 before they knocked that off. Art was the first person I wanted to stop and tell in person.

He was such an inspiration to me and so many through out the area. I will always cherish his QSL card.

We would talk for hours when I was still in the area, I move to Texas but we got on the air for scheds and I called him on the phone. He was so nice to my kids when they were young, they were always welcome at his place and he would pull them around in a small cart he used for pulling heavy radio equipment.

I will certainly miss the gentle, ever giving man that I called and still do today my Elmer.
