    Made Contact!!

    I just made contact with Col. Doug Wheelock abord Iss at 20:10utc!!:):):)
    Great signal,, full scale on a comet GPK3 vertical at 35 ft.

    My Wife is gonna think I'm on something for the rest of the day!!:eek:

    well I have the whole day off today so we will see if I can finally make contact with the ISS...I hope they have voice today....please oh please :D:D:D

    Confirmed voice QSO's going on with the ISS on this last pass on 23:45 UTC. Next pass will hopefully be voice due to it being 89 degrees elevation. 73's

    There's a 0110z pass overhead at my QTH hope I can make contact. Nope heard packet. Darn.

    Keep in mind, just because you hear packet does not mean that they will not do voice. I was on 145.825 one day listening to packet, and then switched over to 145.800 and voice had just come on.

    That's what I'm saying, no voice but I heard packet. Listened for 20 minutes for voice and nothing.

    I got ya - I thought you might have been doing what I used to do - listen on 145.825 and if I heard packet, I shut off the radio without even checking the 145.800 voice frequency.
