Vibroplex red cap

I’m wondering if anyone can set me straight. I ordered a new red plastic plug for the top of my vibroplex original I cleaned up. The part # was 8018. This plug is not snug at all. It is only big enough to sit and fall off. Is there more than one part # for this thing or am I doing it wrong???

 

Glue is the missing ingredient.

If you contact Vibroplex they'll no doubt tell you what they use.

I'd use a small dab of epoxy.

 

I used a touch of rubber cement on mine, that way they hold, and I can remove them if need be.

 

For a custom look you could glue in a properly-sized cubic zirconia.

A garnet 4 mm diameter cubic zirconia is about $.05. Cheaper than the plastic version.

 

Those little pieces have evolved over time.

I use glass beads + a little glue I think 300 glass beads might have cost me a buck. I forget if they were 1/8" or 3/32"

Glue and duct tape are universal solutions.

 

I used a dab of Loctite GO2 Glue. Hasn't come loose yet.
