    Around the holidays I seem to be most receptive to heart warming tales of family, kindness, and joy. This story made me smile and I thought I would share it with all of you. It's the story of John Nugent, WA2EQJ, whose last wish was recently fulfilled in Chicago.

    It was a privilege to QSO with Mr. Nugent and log him working rare special event station, W9F, commemorating the 50th anniversary of Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory (Fermilab). He is a "brother" ham and we thank him for serving his country and for his dedication and involvement in the worldwide "ham" family, which is truly a family. 73s always, WA2QEJ, from WB9EDP & KC9ARP.
