UTC clock

Hi I am trying to find out how you set the UTC clock for my time zone

 

Just convince your legislators to abandon the seasonal change to summer time, and you'll be close enough.

 

Huh? UTC is UTC (GMT).

Perhaps, MM6VGS means local time equivalent for UTC?

 

Exactly. Had Scotland not recently been subjected to the seasonal shift to BST, local time would be GMT which equals UTC.

I assume that when local time = UTC, it is "close enough".

I will add that one of the reasons I have hamclock running in my office/shack is because I use it as a multi time-zone clock, for when I'm too lazy to just do the math in my head.

 

I presume you mean the default time in your postings here in the forum?

Click on your callsign in the upper right corner of the forums screen, choose "Preferences", then choose UTC as your Time Zone under Locale.

If you mean on the QRZ homepage, that clock is already set for UTC. If you mean in the logbook, then the same: UTC is the standard.
