Using an Old Swan Filter in a Homebrew SSB Transmitter

    Bill - looking at your Blog post at the same time I had an instruction sheet for a McCoy Silver Sentinel filter on the bench.

    I noticed, for the first time, McCoy's simple instruction that for their lattice filters, a low freq dip suggests the terminating impedance is too high, and a high frequency dip suggests the terminating impedance is too low.

    You don't have much of a dip, and I don't even know that this is true, as I haven't seen it elsewhere, but as it was vintage lattice filter info, and you have a little dip, just thought I'd pass it on for fun.
