I thought it would be good to share the sound cards and the results with them for SDR use.

    BEHRINGER UMC204HD
From my testing this one works at 192K for both TX and RX
Note: if you shop around you can probably get it at a little better price (I paid $99.99 for mine)

VAlinks 6 Channel External Sound Card (Black)
From my testing this one works at 48K for both TX and RX
Note: They also make a Blue one but as I recall with the Blue one I had to
find the drivers the Black one installed without needing to look for drivers.

What operating system were you running? This seems like odd behavior if the device is supported by the OS.

Windows 7 Pro with HDSDR Software.

Yes it was odd but then I read that the SDIF jack was also a Line out so
I hooked a little powered speaker to the Line out Jack and came to life.

I'm tempted to order a second one to test if it was just a one off oddness
or if you actually need to do that. I included that info just in case.

I actually like this particular adapter since it's quite small and does 96K
so it would be nice for the small Softrock receivers to make into Panadapters.

Passband ripple is a parameter of some importance.
