Not ham related but hoping someone might have some ideas. I used an old Griffin PowerMate that worked for years but does not work on Catalina. I have their Bluetooth version and it works but I don't like the feel of it nearly as well as the original. I contacted Griffin and they replied promptly but said they do not support the USB PowerMate on Catalina. I did find usboverdrive and it works a little bit, but only detects rotations, not pushes or other gestures. I tried to contact them but never heard back. So I'm casting a wide net hoping to find some ideas. Thanks for listening.
Thanks for the tip about usboverdrive--I have a vertical mouse with buttons Apple's OS doesn't support so I use a third-party app, Steermouse, to make it fully functional. Maybe Steermouse might work for you? http://www.plentycom.jp/en/steermouse/index.html
WF7A many thanks for the reply. I downloaded their app and gave it try but unfortunately it does not recognize my PowerMate. I have sent them email, perhaps I will learn more. Again, thanks for the effort. 73.
I finally found a solution, confirmed to work on Catalina: https://roaringapps.com/app/powermate-bluetooth
Hi @WB0OEW - Please Please tell me you saved the dmg / zip file you downloaded from this link and could maybe upload it to dropbox or g drive real quick? It's no longer hosted at that URL and I cannot find the file under this name on google. I also reached out to you via PM hope you don't mind!
