I have tested the ability to upload QSOs which have an eQSL received Y and date over previously uploaded QSOs. Of the 3 QSOs tested, each one did NOT have QRZ or LOTW confirmation. Each import of a single QSO results in the same report including: Import Results: 0 QSOs were inserted 1 duplicates were replaced 0 duplicates ignored 0 errors. 0 queued for confirmation checking Whilst each QSO uploaded had fields with eQSL data and status per below clip, only one QSO was updated to show a green shaded, green tick and eQSL received date. Can anyone tell me what issue would prevent the update, even when reported as replaced. It appears to be unreliable but there is no doubt another reason why some QSOs are indeed NOT replaced with the confirmation status. I stress again that all 3 QSOs were not and now 2 are still not in a state of confirmed by any method (QRZ,LOTW and eQSL). Alan
Alan - I have 4 QSO with you (VK1AO) confirm on LoTW and QRZ (and I think you have my cfm too) , but I am not upload to eQSL , so you can't see cfm on eQSL. Check QRZ page of station , click to details and you can see in bottom status which service is use In my QRZ page you can see: QSL by Mail? Yes (e.g. Will this ham QSL by Postal Mail?) QSL by eQSL? No (e.g. Will this ham QSL with eQSL?) Uses LOTW? Yes (e.g. Does this ham use ARRL's LOTW ?) 73, Vlad NA6JD
That's correct Vlad. But it's not the point I am making. I wish to add my eQSL confirmations to QRZ where there is NO other confirmation available. It worked for one out of 3 attempts. I want to know why. Alan
Bill, eQSL confirmations do SHOW with a tick on QRZ. That's what I am after - regardless as to whether they count up on the confirmation count. My point it, that the update is not reliable. Some do get they field updated, some do not. Why? Alan PS and again I stress that the ones I am uploading again as Dupes do NOT already have any confirmation so they field SHOULD update for each QSO. The rule is stated thus:
OK - I can now see the eQSL confirmations - the first one I did came thru. The second 3 have now come thru - they took several hours instead of being almost immediate as per my first upload. Alan
It is exactly the point. The definitive answer is you cannot do what you are trying to do. QRZ only accepts confirmations received on QRZ and by direct import from LOTW. We do not respect the quality of confirmations from any other source, so no matter what you do, you are not going to receive a confirmation for a QSO that is only confirmed on eQSL. The eQSL tick will only occur if you import data that shows eQSL confirmation. The green highlight means that the QSO is synchronized with LOTW. Only the star shows actual confirmation on QRZ. 73, Steve KF8KI
To follow up on this further, if you believe that a QSO should have updated that did not, it would be helpful to know what QSO(s) that is so that investigation can be done. I don't see anywhere in this thread where you actually provided information on the QSOs in question. 73, Steve KF8KI
