A lot has happened since the first announcements of the lightbulb qso party on March 9,10 2019.

First - this is an FT-8 friendly contest as the exchange is grid squares. Other modes of operation are also accepted.

Second - new categories have been added to the contest. Lightbulb Purists who insist on radiating themselves from inside the shack with a bulb connected directly to the transmitter with a short run of wire can compete in the Dummy Load category, while those who want to go hog wild with multi-bulb arrays hundreds of feet long can compete in the unlimited category.

All in all, five categories of competition are being offered for the TOP BULB award. Also, given the complaints from many hams who wanted a free downloadable PDF certificate of participation, that feature has now been added to the contest.
