I've worked the world (209 DXCC entities) with 100w RF and a wire... it can be done!

Yep, I'm at 102 using a barefoot IC-718 first, and then an IC-7000; driving an 80m skywire loop and later a ladder-line doublet. Granted, a LOT of progress was made back in the maximum of 2013-2014 - so hopefully the upcoming maximum will open the door for a lot of other barefoot operators. The advent of FT8 and FT4 should also help a lot of ops get there.

Unfortunately ft8 has left the phone bands very quiet. Hope better propagation reverses this trend as I have zero interest in it.

100 watts and a wire, along with blessings from the propagation gods, can yield great results. After achieving 5 BDXCC and confirming all but P 5 using QRO and a yagi I decided in 2013 to try and earn DXCC on 12 and 17 meters using just 100 watts and a wire. My goal was to accomplish that in a period of one year. Did it and it wasn't that hard

    I use "100 watts and a Windom".
