Good idea! Works well on 6 2 70. 23cm and above are circular polarized. 10GHz is linear. (Apparently it's difficult to build xpol coaxial yagi for 70cm that doesn't have pattern distortion.) And then, use a Link RF IQ+and MAP65 to figure out the phase angle. That's worth 20+ dB of aluminum. ... But, the most important thing is to get on the air. Start with the best preamp you can get, 100W+, more is better. build the longest cheapyagi you can, or buy something... Armstrong az/el, leave it loose for changing rotation. Use short runs of good coax (I like 1319 from HRO). Use a different soundcard than the one on the computer's motherboard. Enjoy!
