    Greeting All,
I recently received my nice TS-940s back from repair and have an issue with RF on the audio on 40 meters. It seems strange to me that this only occurs on 40 meters, higher bands seem fine. I have an SM-220 monitor scope and I can see the RF. When I connect the rig to a dummy load, the audio is clean. The mic is a Kenwood MC-80.

This issue is apparent as soon as I connect an antenna directly. My antenna is a EFHW-8010 1K. Could this be a grounding issue?

I also have a Yaesu FTdx101MP that doesn't exhibit the issue on the same antenna and coax run.

I appreciate any suggestions for where/how to look/resolve.

    Thanks All, 73's
    WD5FBW - Rick

Try some ferrites on the coax and the mic cord.
