TS-530s can't peak load control

    Set both covers aside, Not both tubes.

    And do not stick your fingers in the HV cage with power on.

    You are alternating between posting that you have either 40,60,70,90,200 ma and that you either can or cannot dip the current.

    Yeah, it would be hard to get the tubes to light up if you set them aside.:)

    I hope it turns out the simplest thing that I should have checked first is the solution. After trying 2 separate patch cables to the 300W dummy load I tested each and found one did not have continuity and the other had a short between the center pin and shield. These were both soldered PL259 connectors with RG8/X cable. I don't have any others to test with but have ordered a couple of patch cables that will be here Monday. I hope this makes a difference as to why I have been seeing spurious readings. It also makes me wonder if this is why I never saw anything signalwise on the cheapee Dentron SWR/wattmeter I tossed a while back..
