TS-480 powers up from the ARCP software fine, does everything it is supposed to do.

Control head displays nothing and won't power up the radio.

When I press Power and DNL the control head goes through the PUSH Button list displaying all that ok.

What am I missing? Can I get this working again?

First thing I would suspect would be the head unit cable, especially if it happens to be a homemade one.

I know nothing about your issue, as I don't own a 480, but if you need a new head, they sell that separately. If you need repairs and can't do it yourself, might make sense just to get a new control head.

I just think it's kind of cool that you can purchase that separately at a reasonable price.

I agree with WC5P. I would suspect the head cable first. This can be ordered separately. I have a 480 and had to replace the cable. I assume you tried a MASTER RESET?
