    Matsushita designed a lower cost 6146B (bakelite base - slightly different plate structure and material) and called it the S2001 and shortly thereafter, the S2001A. It was used in the Kenwood T-599 series, TS-510, TS-520 series, TS-530 series and the TS-830 series. Some of their parts list and/or schematics identify the finals as "S2001/6146B" or "S2001A/6146B".

    Many years ago Gene Rippen, WB6SZS (SK), compiled this list of transmitters and what finals they used:
