Family is moving to New Mexico from Warren Michigan is there any free program software ideas how I could determine what repeaters will be in the areas I go thru without Looking up each individual tower?

Where in New Mexico? There are repeaters all over New Mexico, as well as the Mega-Link system. Become a member, and you can work all over the SW, not just New Mexico.

On-line there is repeaterbook.com If you have a smart phone, get RepeaterBook app. It will tell you what repeaters are nearby (call sign, freq, tone) and how far and in what direction. And, if you have a Garmin Nuvi, get the ARRL's TravelPlus Mobile GPS. It will also give you repeater info near your location.
