And it immediately wiped out the Yaesu SCU-17 drivers. No amount of futzing which got it working in El Capitan would get it working. Restoring now....

Note to self: Wait before upgrading MacOS because the radio interfaces are usually lagging in readiness.

I'm not certain which drivers the SCU-17 uses, but did you check to see if there were updated drivers available? It isn't likely that the major driver makers have released versions for Sierra yet, but it is possible.

Yeah I new drivers. Lesson learned is to wait until you hear other people are running a new version before jumping. Fortunately, Time Machine restored everything after I wiped the drive and put El Capitan back on.

You should never install an OS Beta on a productive system!

I use a separate older MBA for Beta testing:
    • FTDI driver: Works
    • Prolific driver: Works
    • SiLabs driver: Dosen't work, even after reinstalling

The latest SiLabs VCP Driver works just fine with the latest MacOS Sierra 10.12 Beta (16A254g)

Running it now with MacLoggerDX and the Yaesu FT-991

SiLabs driver works here as well with this Beta. No need to reinstall the driver.
Tested with RUMlog and IC-7300 @115200 baud.
