Trials & Errors Issue 75 - On the Air with Zane Grey in Tahiti

The ship is about 35m long. The length of wire to that dark spot is more than 15m.

From that image, the length of wire would be about 25m, so a bit less than I estimated.

 

I read the article on Zane Grey and adventure aboard the the Fisherman. Enjoyed it alot. I love Mr. Greys stories of western life and noticed that I must have missed a book. I'll be heading to the library to pick that one up.

Zane Grey, right up there with Hemingway. Been reading about these guys my entire life. I am an avid big game offshore angler. Love the sport, and love ham radio. Never knew Zane did the radio thing. Very pleased to know that. I have a tendency to focus on the fish (billfish & big tuna), location, and the equipment they were using at the time! Linen lines, etc. LOL Great article, this one is now my all time favorite, keys in on all the stuff I love.
