I'm in from Woodland, Ca. I don't have a lot of high power equipment and my antenna is homebrew but this sounds like an interesting challenge.

I, too, want to be in on it for the challenge. As soon as it turns into a contest though, I'm out.

Saying it can't be done, doesn't make sense to be done, or doesn't have any purpose, or should be done a different way makes it more of a challenge.

With the proliferation of 160-70cm rigs out there a LOT of people have 2m SSB but don't use it or try it vertically polarized which is an automatic 20db down from a horizontal antenna setup so they get discouraged. Where I live 2m SSB is good for 100+ miles most days of the year. A few deep winter storms will knock it down some.

PLEASE proliferate me one  I'd really like to have more than just FM on 2m!

    BACK ON TOPIC:

So are we all on for Sunday night again? Or is there a better time/date?

Having not got an answer I forgot all about it, but actually that's my fault.

I was waiting for an official time and date. although I seem to be having 2M problems now. I may need to replace some coax

Tonight may be the best chance for activity since most people dont have to go to work tomorrow due to the holiday.
