Our station was operational from October 16th to 19th, 2025, at the Rover Scout Training Center in Bahadurpur, Gazipur, approximately 37km from Dhaka.

The core mission was to provide hands-on experience to eight newly licensed amateur radio operators, including full-time participants S21LIA, S21KET, S21KBY, S21HRT, S21APP, and S21FAI, with S21JAF and S21BUD joining for a shorter duration.

These new HAMs received intensive training on the basics of HF communication, proper radio station setup, and fundamentals of antenna building, guided by none other than S21AM.

The operation was a true team effort: S21AM generously arranged all the necessary radio equipment and gears and created a training plan for HAMs, while I, S21RAK, along with the 13th Hussars Open Rover Scout Group, took care of planning the entire camp and arranging all the associated camping and station infrastructure. Both S21AM and I are committed to a continuing plan to help these operators advance significantly in the hobby.

A highlight of the camp was the outreach to rover scouts. Under the expert supervision of S21AM, the new HAMs and I demonstrated live radio operation to numerous non-HAM rover scouts, offering a basic understanding of amateur radio and the local licensing procedure. Besides various scouting activities, we also trained them on Basic Electronics and gave them fun projects on electronics and radio to work on. We were highly encouraged by the outcome, as many young attendees expressed a keen interest in pursuing their own amateur radio licenses!

It was a rewarding experience, paving the way for the next generation of Amateur Radio in Bangladesh. A special thanks to S21AM and 13th Hussars Open Rover Scout Group for the experience.
