Some of my memories of Tom in no particular order..

Tom loved field day. He enjoyed helping clubs out and he helped our club several times. Tom brought everything - tower, tents (even one with air conditioning!), station, computer logging, generator, a dedicated operator... he brought everything! Tom LOVED field day. Any club that Tom helped out was blessed to have Tom there. I can recall many hours working CW with Tom. One funny story from one of the field days.. I was following Tom back to his house as I had his tower strapped to the roof of my van. Sleep deprived due to being up all night operating CW.. I was following Tom back to his house to unload his tower. Well, at some point I realized in my sleepy haze I was no longer behind Tom and I had no idea where I was! I hear a crackle on the 2m radio "KB2FCV from K2ESE.. what happened to you? Where did you go?!". Luckily Tom was able to talk me in to get me back to his house!!

Tom enjoyed boat anchors and restoring them. I would often get pics from Tom of his latest project. Tom paid attention to detail.. every corner of the radio looked like it just rolled off the assembly line and he had a process to re-do the panel / cabinet so it was exact. He did a complete electrical restoration of the radio as well. Truly impressive work.

For a while we would get on 75m phone with a group of friends and have a nice rountable. It was nice to join them when I could.

Tom had a big heart and gave 110% to the things he did. I am glad that I got to know Tom. He will be missed. 73 Tom, RIP
