I'm wondering if it's transmitting outside the ham bands too.
I would love to see a general direction of the signal path. This is interesting stuff. Intruder detection and identification.
Yes indeed, it does. I've seen it from around 6.4MHz to above 18.5MHz at various times/dates.
Am making some contacts now on 30 and the ticking is very strong here in VT. Has anyone had any luck tracking down what this signal is or where it's from?
I suspect it is an OTH, Over the Horizon radar, probably Chinese. They have been a problem before, but not recently. You can dig up info from past posts and other sites.
Yeah, where are the guys with the big beams when you need them?
Likely, but only transmitting about every second? That's very slow compared to what I recall. Maybe it's a test mode of some kind.
So what do we have to do... have a summit with them too?
It is a digital mode, I have decoded some of it:
"Hello chief, this is Max"
He doesn't get an answer because the craw is trying
to hack him
I have not read all six pages of the thread, but is the signal (I've heard it myself as well) not this?
