An invitation

The Halifax Amateur Radio Club (HARC) invites all contesters, DXers and HF enthusiasts to the Third Maritime DX Forum.  It will be held on Saturday, 5 August 2006 in Upper Tantallon, Nova Scotia, just outside Halifax at the head of St. Margaret’s Bay.  

We have five excellent presentations.  The first one features George Nicholson, N4GRN,  one of the 3Y0X crew, who will talk about the recent Peter the First Island DXpediton. The second one is Jeff Briggs, K1ZM/ VY2ZM, who will shine light on the wonders of low band DXing. John Currie, VE1ZJ,  our third speaker will give us some insights into what many think is the ultimate Dxing, EME. Fourth, Jim Fisher, VE1JF, will moderate a panel discussion on contesting that will include the featured speakers and other notable contesters.  There will be ample time for conversations during coffee breaks and a long lunch hour and pre-dinner happy hour. The DX Forum Dinner will feature a reception at 5:00 pm followed by dinner at 6:00 pm.  Dick Grantham, VE1AI, the fifth presenter, will speak after dinner about New HF Summits to Conquer.
