I notice SDRPlay's online forum is no longer available as of yesterday:

    https://www.sdrplay.com/community/

This is unfortunate as it allowed users to learn from the experiences of others. There is an io.group for the receivers but it also seems to be controlled by the company and would therefore be subject to criticism that would be detrimental to their bottom line.

Do you mean this one? It doesn't have any messages yet. https://groups.io/g/Sdrplay

Anyone can start a group on groups.io so I guess if the official group won't accept constructive criticism then someone can start something like https://groups.io/g/SdrplayUsers

I use an RSP1 in conjunction with the MFJ-1708B-SDR. The RSP1 is in a metal case. I use that with my AL-80B amplifier and have't had a moments problem. The RSP1 is an excellent receiver and is much better that the one in my Yaesu FT1000mp. I've used SDRuno and SDR Console with excellent results. Good luck with your new receiver and have fun!

I see where that group mentioned here was started in July of 2017. There hasn't been a single post in it. I can see where not having a forum for folks to vocalize issues, learn and help others I might hurt the bottom line. You are not going to stop people that have negative comments. If you have a good product that will take precedent over that. There are not may hardware products I can think of that don't have some sort of collective location to voice their thoughts. I make application to join and start a thread at https://groups.io/g/Sdrplay

I just took another look at that group and one of the settings is "Only moderators can post to the group". I guess that means it was intended for announcements rather than a discussion forum. It also looks like someone created it one day and it's since been forgotten about.

I did send a request to be a member and I don't mind kicking off some discussions. I have to get an answer first. Starting a group may be the way to go. SDRPlay have some excellent products. For the money invested they have a fantastic product. They have done an immense amount of work both in the hardware and especially the software. I'm sure there are plenty of people willing to help others. It does indicate there are 35 members, but who only know who they are. It may be just for internal communication.

For what it's worth, the equivalent Airspy group is quite active, including posts from the developer. https://groups.io/g/airspy

Okay. I took the dive and there is now a group at SDRPlayUsers@groups.io. I hope this can grow into something positive.
