Because 10m is legal to operate on in more places than 4m.

Why do HF radios come with 6m? Why do VHF radios come with 10m? Why does a "pure HF" radio come with 160m?

 

Yes, you're right! I searched and found that in most places 4m are for use on a secondary basis and for experimental reasons only. That's why manufacturers don't produce equipment for the 4m band. Ok, thanks!

 

I wish they'd do 4m instead of 10m anyway. I hope someday we get 4m!

 

does this have the same low output power on high power like the Wouxun KG-950p on 10 and 6?

I have the Diamond CR8900A and am using it on the Yaesu FT8900R and it works great on all 4 bands. The FT8900 and its close cousin should be a great radio for a tech. It covers the bands availible for the tech. Let us know what you think of this radio you have used it a bit.

 

They probably do. Same reason why HRD gets to spam this site, QRZ probably gets some of the action.

 

Maybe he got the same deal the HRD folks got? So, now they both get free dealer advertising here on QRZ?

well i just found out that it will tx and rx usb lsb and am and fm 12 meters and 10 meters 2 meters and 6 meters and 440 i was told you have to do something inside the unit to fully unlock any one elese know about this
