    It might work OK...I had one and while it got lost in our move a few years ago, I did use it one Field Day. Loaded up and did work on 160...wasn't much of a performer, but did allow me to get on the band. However, I'm in the same place you are and am instead considering building the 160 - 40 trap dipole that was in QST a number of years ago (easy to find the article online). Less expensive and only 88' long. :)

    That's excellent, Zak. I put almost 300 in the log in about 8 1/2 hours of op time which is a personal best effort. This was one of the most quiet 160m event weekends in recent memory--after last year almost anything would have been an improvement. I heard JA and UA9 for the first time ever this year.
