    For those who want to see something other than metal and plastic :) This is about 1/3 of the wood radios I've collected over the past decades. The steel wire shelving was just installed in a spare bedroom to handle some of the overflow. I'm having trouble lifting the heavier sets with each passing birthday.

    My Shack
    just got my call sign a moth ago so I have not had a chance to make it bigger
    but it is nice and simple all I need for 2 meters

    Don't want a station at home, so my shack is wherever I set up in the field. Last time was the top of Cove Mtn in SW VA.

    I love Hiking that looks like a great portable station you have I just bring my HT when I hike but maybe I should try brining an and HF radio sometimes

    Thanks. While you're at the mercy of the elements and have to put up with a compromise antenna, the noise floor is so much lower up on a summit like that, you can hear signals you'd never hear at home (or at least I can't).

    One of the new babies has already taken a liking to my overhead cab about my radio. Isn't there a ham cats page somewhere?

    Anyway, this is "Princess Oona" aka Oona posing for me. Only 13 weeks old, she's already displaying quite the personality....
