I tried to find shelving at several stores that I could use and modify to fit my equipment. After many years of not quite satisfied I decided to build my own. I like boat anchors so I needed strength due to the weight and space around the equipment for cooling. My operating desk has 4X4'f for legs and frame.

Rolling your own is by far the best solution. I built both of my benches.

Or... knowing someone that is a journeyman carpenter, experienced furniture maker and also a ham that understands what goes on the shelves can be helpful... ;)

Newly constructed "vintage" operating position. All of the sets are restored, except for the SX-28. There are two of those in the cue. There is a ton of interfacing to be done between the equipment! But, it is moving along slowly.

Other shots are of the main operating position--ARC-5 rigs awaiting restoration and the Hallicrafters and Navigator which are restored and operable. vintage1.jpg vintage2.jpg hallicrafters.jpg ARC5 rigs.jpg

Killer collection. I like the "Sideband Slicer" with its serious lever.

[IMG] The latest iteration farther replacing a small desk and a fold out table with a single table. Not my first choice in colors but the price was right....
