Thought I had 4U1UN confirmed previously but looks not to be the case.
Not confirmed yet but worked 5T5PA earlier today
Nope, they finally got the station setup they way they want it. After some re-modeling / shuffling around of the UN, various security reasons stopped them from being able to access the station. The workaround plan was to run Ethernet to someplace in the building they were allowed to be at & operate, leaving the station itself where it needed to be (near the antennas). They finally got everything in place and operate remotely from a computer in a different part of the building. Glad to see them back on the air! Congrats on the new one.. I just need them on 2 or 3 bands here.. hoping they get on 80,12 & 10.
4U1UN today via LoTW for #290.
That's interesting. I wonder if they will do activity from 'outside' of the building?
Good question.. while it's theoretically possible being IP based.. it's probably a matter of what they'll allow with their networks & security over there. I would imagine things are locked down pretty tight at the UN!
4U1UN for me too..
i worked 4u1un way back in 1990 on 10m SSB -- never got it confirmed though - so was happy to get them on 40m CW for an ATNO!
