Since the 1940s, the Pi impedance matching network has been the network of choice for matching the high impedance of tube based transmitters to the low impedance of antennas, but how do they accomplish this? Dr. Greg Latta, AA8V, pulls back the curtain, and shows an intuitive way to think about this important circuit.
class c or linear ?. pi net seems to act like an autotransformer stepping down voltage. increasing current. pulses and storage terms confuse the issue for me. i questioned this yrs ago and never got what i felt was a simple answer. this is helpful
