    I don't see anywhere in Part 97.111 Authorized Transmissions where an amateur license authorizes us to have two-way communicate with space aliens.

    On the other hand, if it takes 4.23 years each way, then you could get away with calling it one-way transmissions for at least 8.5 years, before the ARRL VMs have enough on you to turn you into the FCC.

    Someone needs to file a Petition for Rulemaking to allow ham communications with ETs.
