    Hmmm...did know that one. My AK5 also has the groove..Never knew there was more than one version! Thanks Glenn

    I have both side by side. I'll concur. The SB104 (a) performance wise isn't as good as the SB101. Their are some birdies, a possibility of cross modulation as it's dymanic range is definitely not as good as The 101. That being said, I have no flakey issues with the unit. It has however, been fully rebuilt to 104A specs and in the motoring world, it would be considered "Blueprinted". It is using the 104A front end board. All the modules were rebuilt using metal film resistors, rather than the 1/4watt composition ones that were originally in the 104. I exercise both regularly to insure electron attrify does not set in!
